This was one of the first photos of the project. Benji was a fairly elusive character and rarely came out of his room but on this occasion he had come down to Lloyd's on one of Lloyd's last nights to say goodbye.

Angus had lived up north before moving into The Foyer. There, he had fallen for a girl who lived near him. Just before the photo was taken Angus had found out that she was now with someone.

Taz and Sammie were both talking about Sammie and Benji's relationship problems outside his door.

I walked into Kerry's room one night to talk to her and found her notepad laying on her desk.

Lloyd (Austyn's twin brother and my first flatmate) bought a cheap tattoo gun just after I moved in. Most of the people living in the building received one or two tattoos. Lloyd has a full sleeve of his own doodles. The used needles along with empty fag packets were left in a draw in mine and Lloyd's kitchen.

As Andy stares into the flame of his lighter the light on the left contrasts greatly with the blue light emitted from Austyn's television screen.

This was the aftermath of Luke falling asleep with a cigarette in his mouth.

Taz led a life of abuse in the lead up to her being moved into the foyer. I feel this picture shows her insecure and shy side.

The night before Jez had a random nose bleed in the computer rooms before leaving a trail down the hallways and into his flats bathroom.

Benji had lived at The Foyer for the longest amount of time when I arrived there. He later had a child with another resident and moved out.

Austyn over the years had either tattooed himself or met friends who had tattooed him.

Austyn would get drunk with other residents most nights and make food before leaving the mess for me to discover in the morning.

Andy is halfway between cooking himself and Austyn a meal in mine and Austyn's kitchen and lighting Austyn's cigarette.

This photo depicts the emotions felt in the monotony of unemployed life inside the Foyer.

Angus had decided to get drunk on his own on this night. I could never get through to him when he was sober but once he was drunk he would become very open about his life leading up to moving into the Foyer.
